Amp problem... please help!!

i've got my amp hooked up to an older sony head unit, in my last truck i had it all hooked up and everything worked fine, but today when i switched the whole set up (radio and all) to a new truck, the amp only turns on when the radio is in the radio mode, when i put in a cd, or switch to the aux mode the amp turns off. any idea as to why this is happening?

Did you check all of your wires? Mainly the Remote?

yeah, but if it was the remote wire wouldn't it not work at all, instead of just work on certain modes?

There is 2 blue wires on sonys. one is power antenna and only works with radio. Switch the amp to the other blue wire on the back of the deck. Should say amp turn on , pcon , or remote turn on.

so your remote turn on was wired to the radio antenna ?

not the actual radio antenna

its wired to the power antenna wire on the radio's harness
