amp problem??? help!

ok guys I just hooked up my amp the other day and my 12's should be in wednesday according to UPS, theres only one problem, i got bored today and hooked up some old @$$ cheap subs from pepboys to my amp, and they barely even hit, i turned the gain up and bass boost too. is this because they were cheap speakers??? or is something wrong with my amp, i thot if it was the speakers it would send too much RMS and blow them, not make them barely hit.

maybe it is seeing a funky ohm load.

i had it bridged, would that make a difference???

I just dont wanna hook my 12's up and have them sound like @$$ so i am trying to find out if i need a new amp now or not

same here. i hooked up my old subs to my new amp and it would barely hit. Dont know why this is. prob like he said ohm load

hmmm, so maybe it was just those speakers im still confused lol
