Amp Problem! Help Me ASAP

HELP! I have a Sentrek 480wx4 that I got from a friend that is very much into the car audio scene. He was nice enough to give it to me to use for my 1995 Pontiac Sunfire. I hooked it all up correctly, and then hooked my 2 12'' 400w Rockford Punch Zs. I turned on the ignition, and tried the deck, and there was sound coming from my speakers but not my subs. I popped the trunk and noticed that the power light was flashing. Nothing was working on it but the light was flashing. I need to get this fixed as soon as possible because the kid that gave it to me wants me to keep it in good working order and he's coming to visit in 2 days! HELP!

If he GAVE it to you, why is he worried about you keeping it in good working order? Are you absolutely sure that it worked before it was given to you? I hope this dude is really your friend and not just a "friend" that is going to try and screw you by saying that he didn't give u the amp, he let you borrow it and you must have fried it! I'm not familiar with Sentrek, but it sounds like the amp may be in protection mode. Check the impedence's of the speakers, along with all the wiring. If you have another amp, temporarily hook that one up and see if you get the same response. If not, maybe the amp is no good. If you do get the same results with the other amp, you're wiring something wrong. Or maybe you can just wait for your friend to come and show u how or what to do. I'm ABSOLUTELY not sure on this, but I remember somebody telling me that Sentrek power light blinks if the remote cable is wrongly connected or not connected.

That wouldn't make sense cause that means when the AMP is off the light would blink!

just check all your connections over again and see if you connected something wrong

if that doesnt work take it to a pro and have it tested
