In a car (as opposed to a dyno), when does an amp make full power?? How do you know how much power your amp is making when your volume is on 22 out of 62 or 11 out of 34?

When the line voltage is attenuated enough to the amplifier, in regards to where you set the amps gain.

For example, 45/62 might be full unclipped line voltage. 46 would start sending a clipped output.

Best way to find out is with distortion tool like the ones smd offers
