P100x5 question

Hi this is my first post and new to car audio sorry if i posted in the worng part. I am getting a rockford fosgate p100x5 amp. I will be running 4 speakers and 10inch sub. What i don't understand is the rated power is it 75watt each speaker at 4ohm and 150watt at the sub. Sorry if i dont make sense

At 4ohm yes. You will probably want to get a sub that can go 1ohm. DVC 2.

Is there a reason you chose this amp?

With Rockford you pay a lot for the name. Spec wise it's pretty weak. It does have a clip light but that's pretty common these days.

I allready have a rockford a P1S4-10 4ohm svc sub and P165-SE components in the front and P1650 full range speakers in the back. Off the stock headunit that is 25 watts x 4 plus 150 watt stock amp. I can't replace the headunit so im going to use a audiocontrol lc7i. The only reason i choose the P1000x5 cause i can get one for $250 AUD that is pretty cheap. is it only going to put out 150watt to the sub what happens to the other 550 watts
