Amp not turning on

I had to change the wiring on my subs and add speakers. Now that i did this the amp will power up sometimes but most of the time it wont even turn on. It will usually flicker on when i start the car but sometimes it will never come on or it will play for a little while while im driving then cut out again. What could be the problem because all of the wires seem to be connected and the fuse is not blown?

sounds like a loose wire i would check your remote and power wire again then make sure the fuses are fully seated.

Thats what i thought to but they all seem to be connected and i looked at the fuse and it looks normal.

check the remote behind the h/u...did you wirie them corredtly?what subs and amp are you using? ohm's would be good to

Two rockford fosgate p3 dual 4 ohms wired to 1 ohm on a hifonics 100d amp. The wiring to the head unit is fine because i did not change that when i redid the wiring of the subs. The only thing i changed was the wiring on the subs.

IF the amp is not even turning on is it possible i screwed up the wirnig and messed up the amp?

Maybe the remote wire got pinched. My friend had that happen a few times. Run a wire from the battery to the amps turn on and see if it turns on, if it does I would just put a new wire in for the turn on and see if that work. Are you saying to only run the wir from the battery to the amp and take off the rest off the wires?

no he is saying run a wire from the battery's positive terminal to your amps remote input instead of the one coming from your cd player to see if that is the problem
