Amp not getting power

Could I still have a bad ground? It doesn't seem to be a very good one to me, I just can't get any bolts off I don't have a socket set. Would it still be getting 12-14v with a bad ground, and just not turn on?

Another thing, I had hooked up the ground to the pos. and the pos. to the ground and was trying to make it work like that, without realizing it for awhile. Would that have ****ed it up? When it was hooked up like that I was also noticing a little buzzing and whine when the car was on.

It's certainly possible...

Check the fuses in the amp and see if they're blown.

If they are, replace them. If they're not then I'd say you just figured out your problem.

If you sent a 12vdc positive feed into the ground input on that amp and the fuses didn't blow to protect the unit and allowed that 12vdc feed into the amp where it doesn't belong then I think we just located the problem. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

How can I tell if the fuse is blown? I think it might be, on one of the metal things in it, it looks like it's burnt in a spot.
Visible burn marks on the filiment inside the fuse is generally a good indicator that it's toast. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

You've never determined a blown VS. good fuse before? ever?

Is that burnt spot in the middle of the fuse? If it is and is burnt.. its blown.

Just toss up a picture, that'll help everyone help you help yourself
