Tell me if this makes sense... RCA/LOC question...

I have a Bose head unit in my RX-8. Output from my Bose is pretty low... so if I take an LOC and attach it it won't push the signal. The signal is however, flat. After the Bose amps, it has power but the signal isn't flat. Thus, I want to tap my RCAs from before the Bose amplifiers.

So, I went ahead and bought two of the David Navone TWO CHANNEL HIGH QUALITY LINE DRIVE ADAPTER NE-7V. What I am going to do is take my head unit's output, cut the wires for LF/LR and RF/RR and put them into these adaptors, then output those RCAs into my amplifier.

Does this make sense? And did I buy the right parts? I am pretty sure I did.... please let me know!

Thanks!

it your going to do that and it works.. fine. most amps dont require rca's they have somthing called high input which is like a wiring harness that plugs into your amp. that would also work.

He doesn't want to do this because the signal after the amp has a higher possibility of distortion. And it might even have some equalization.

How do you know the signal from the Bose HU is weak?

Just be careful when soldering the RCA ends on the wires. Have you done this before?
