Amp not coming on..

My amp is not coming on...

Battery (secured tightly) --> 80Amp fuse --> Profile AP1000 Amp POWER

Alpine Head Unit Subwoofer RCA --> RCA --> Profile AP1000 Amp IN

Alpine Head Unit ---> Remote On --> Profile AP1000 Amp Remote ON

Amp ---> Ground to clean/non-painted/rust free body metal

Have the HU Subwoofer Setting to ON

Have Bass at +5 (out of 10)

Have Subwoofer at 12 (out of 15)

Any thoughts?

Did you just hook it up and it wont turn on? or has it been running for awhile and just recently stopped turning on?.

Story... when I first hooked up (few weeks ago) did not work.. one night it came on.. not sure if it was something I did but can't remember.. anyway... It was working then just went out one day on the way home from work... not sure why.. no fuses blown (near battery 80amp, dist block 60amp, amp itself two 30amp). I built a new box this week and just put back in... checked all wiring and seems good.. no groud outs/knicks in wire/etc..

Remote on lead from the Alpine HU sounds faulty.

Run a jumper wire from the main power over to the remote on terminal and see if the amp turns on, if so your HU is faulty.

Ok... went out and put a piece of wire from Power In on amp(with power from battery connected also) to the remote IN and still nothing...

Amps phucked.

Get it fixed or replaced.

How is that possible? Only had for like 3 months and only used it like 2 weeks.. Are Profiles that crappy? I figured I would get at least a few years out of it..

Every company has their blems, when you start kicking out hundreds of thousands of electronic devices theres bound to be a few blems in there.

The fact that it didn't work right from day one rienforces the suspicion that it is a factory blem.
