Amp Help

If you're running the components passive then yes a 4 channel would work fine. If you're running active then you would need 4 channels of power just for the comps.

thanks if the comps are around 100 watts each what would you recomend for the amp..would i be looking for a amp with 100 watts per channel??

any help?
Lets just say for example a component set says it can handle 80 watts RMS. You can put an amp as low as 60 watts per channel rms on them. However you wouldn't be getting the best out of them. For a comp set with that rating I would say anywhere from 80 to 160 watts RMS would be ok as long as you know how to set your gains and don't get silly with it.

I have a set of 6.5" midbass that recommend 80 watts RMS at certain frequencies. Well I was sending them 240 watts per side with NO ill effects.

Its combining 2 channels of power into 1. My Premier PRS-X720 is 240 X 2 @ 4 ohms. When I bridge it to 1 mono channel it is 844 X 1 @ 4 ohms.

2 channel amps can be bridged to 1.

4 channel amps can be bridged to 2.
