amp help

ok im new to these forums but i used to be heavy in systems, changed setups every month in my cars, but i been out of the "scene" for 2 years and its like i forgot everything... i got 2 setups i traded around for and just wanted to know the best way to set them

first the one actually in my car at this point

i got 2 memphis audio PR 10's in a slot(middle) ported box with a P3001 rockford amp on the amp what should the hz be set at and where should the gain be at how should i set all this thanks

now the second

i have a older tri MTX blue thunder 10's box, ive had prolly 4 of these in my lifetime and love them, the amp i have for these that my friend had on them is a older rockford punch 201s 600 watt amp, now it only has a gain knob and a rocker switch that has 3 spots one says 0db one says +6db and the other says +12db which position should the rocker be at and where should gain be at for this setup thanks so much for any help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

ive read tutorial and realy just dont understand it was hoping by the setup and specs someone could tell me where to set em thanks

first q, set the LP filter around 80hz.

there are a few tutorials on gain setting, i usually just do 1/4 - 1/2.

second q, i dont know much about that amp, im guessing its a db boost setting at a certain freq thats not ajustable. check the amp it might say 45hz with

0/+6/+12db boost. if it doesent have what freq on the amp, search rf database im shur you can find the pdf file on there website.

the specs on the mtx everyone should know since their old school but their 750\1500 watt

roar irritating me i cant get the right sound out of these what should it be putting out at speaker terminals on amp volts etc...
