amp help!!

i just went n got a new fuse n the power lights up now!!(thx for that advice voa) =) but im still getting no sound from the sub..... any ideas?

check your RCA connections?

i chekd my rca cable n it was connected properly. hmm... im starting to think i might have wired the sub wrong.

could be possible. recheck that.

Even if the sub is wired wrong you should still get something out of it if its in the wrong ohms etc. But I am wondering if you got a loose wire in the box or the terminal you forgot to hook up etc.

I would do this,,

First you did your fuse and your amp is now turning on correct.

That means your power ground fuse and remote wire are fine.

Now you have no sub out put that can only be due to the RCAS or the subs speaker wires.

So if you checked your rcas, go through and make sure you have the speaker wires in all the right places and if you used electrical tape etc to piece them together go through and check them retwist them etc and make sure there all nice and good. IF thats a no go take your sub out and make sure it is hooked up to the terminals correctly.

OK guys! i got it to work but the sub dont hit as i expected it should. maybe i just need to tune my amp n let the sub break in.....it DEF dont hit like a 500rms woofer powered by a 450rms amp.

hmmm wat kinda amp is it, wat sub is it, how did you set your gains?

And you sure the sub is wired right as well double check the speaker wire and make sure it is right. Maybe your hu setting is wrong what kind of amp hu and sub you got.

i would say run like 12 guage wire from you amp to sub box and run 12 guage inside the box also. your gain shouldnt have to be all the way up just in a decent spot where your sub dont hit like shit..

i got the alpine type r 1042 n performance teknique icbm 780 amp. im still in learning stage of audio stuff so im not sure what gain n etc.... i was messing with the settings a bit more n i got it to thump lil harder then b4, but now im thinking its my cheap $30 tiny ported box thats making the sub sound like crap.

what are your settings at right now like your gain, bass boost hrtz etc
