Just had some speakers and amp installed in my truck. When I turn the volume up with the bass relatively loud, after a couple of minutes, the amp cuts off. The amp will start back after a few minutes. Any ideas on the problem.

More than likely CLIPPING!! Lower your gains and no bass boost or loudness set on HU. Retune your settings.Gains too high and you are turning your volume up too high.Set gains properly. If amp isnt big enough for the demand, look into upgrading the demand

Whats your electrical consist of? What amp or amps are you using, speakers sub/subs, radio, and vehicle.what power supply do you have? Size wire for the demand, fuse ratings ect. we need know what you have to determine whats going on. Stock battery? What brand, size, AH, CA,CCA,stock alternator or HO alternator. How many amps is it?
