I have a optimus 150 watt amp (weak i know) running to two 12 inch pioneer 400 watt subs. I don't know what the problem is. The amp doesn't turn on. It's not the wiring, i asked countless friends to look at it and they say the wiring is correst. It's not the amp either, i switched mine wih my friends and the subs still don't have sound. the amp is getting power. the cable from the battery shows it has power and everything is grounded good. to the best of my knowledge the remote his hooked up right too.....but this is the only thing we think it can be....but it is correctly hooked up. the only think i got was that maybe that there is a relay problem with the remote wire in the cd player. my friend said this could be it. Does that make sense? any ideas how to fix it? The cd player is a sony, the red and black kind, the older version though. Thanks for your help. Jason

Take a jumper wire from the +12V power and connect it directly to the remote turn on lead and see if the amp turns on. If it does then the remote turn on lead from the deck is the problem.

Take a jumper wire from the +12V power and connect it directly to the remote turn on terminal and see if the amp turns on. If it does then the remote turn on lead from the deck is the problem.

If that sosnt work then get a volt meter and put it upto each wire to see which on gets the best response and that will be it.
