Amp Gain setting help

just saw a video on how to set the gain on your amp, and I have one question...they did it using a 50hz tone....is that what I should use, or should I use the hz tone that my box is tuned to ....in my case 35hz?

Well the note shouldn't matter that much, since the speakers won't actually be hooked up, just play something that would 100% play on your woofer. In other words, don't pick something right on the edge of your low pass or subsonic filter.
