Dude, you have SO MANY THINGS going wrong here. What YOU need to do is READ. you DON'T need an amp even at 45% with the headunit at 42/50 WHEN YOU TUNED AT 40/50. WITH THE HIP HOP EQ On? Is this a joke?! You don't know why your amp is blown?! Wow. It's that, on top of the stupid ground, and the amp being mounted on top of the box with NOTHING even securing it?! While you're sending a FULLY clipped signal to them probably. Wow. Just wow.

It's NOT your amp. You could've bought the exact same amp and fixed the problem. You need a better electrical. And you need to learn how to properly install something. Otherwise take it to a shop.

Okay, I did know what I did wrong haha. Was just me being impatient about the whole install.

The Hip Hop EQ move was what i'm guessing sent the amp a clipped signal. Thankfully the subs didn't get damaged.

I've got two SA12's now with a Brutus 1700 and I'm very satisfied with them, researched a little it and i feel like i properly installed everything this time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well that's good man. I wasn't trying to be an ***. It just gets to me when I see people spend $ on these things and then don't take the proper initiative to install it RIGHT. Take my new build for example, I've been saving and buying EVERYTHING until I get everything that I need to do the install, from wire to terminals... EVERYTHING. Then, and only then, will I install it all. SO, this whole time, I've been researching and reading about different things I may have questions over, finding the answers, and moving on to the next question Iay have. So when I go to install everything, I have a planned out written list of everything I need, or need to do, and I do it. And I do it right. You should really buy a SMD DD-1. That'll be ur first step to setting amps properly. And anyone can do it.
