Amp fried yet again...

Yes sorry I meant Volts haha, Bass boost was at 0, and yup the two type r's were wired down to one ohm.
My amp is wired with 4 gauge Fierce Audio wiring that I stupidly bought from Best Buy awhile ago. All settings on the HU are default when I tune the amp, and yes I would like it if you emailed me that test tone, email is jack_plantin@live.com
It sounds like you're doing everything right. Keep in mind, if you adjust (boost) any settings on the HU after setting your gain, you should set your gain with those settings on.

The gain settings weren't all the way up though, they were at about 45%. I tuned it with a DMM but obviously I shouldn't be using 1400/1400 watts available from the amp.
Not necessarily, there isn't anything particularly wrong with that. I've got a "1200w" amp and I set it for a straight 1200w.

Is what he said about your ground on a tail-light bolt true?

Yes, we just met for a demo of my new system, he showed me his setup too.

Yeah it's true, the bolt goes through like two layers of sheet metal and it is sanded down pretty well, so I thought it should be fine haha. I definitely take alot more time in the future to make a solid ground.

Friend says getting a capacitor would solve all of my problems... should i listen to him? if i should get one.. how many farad an what brand for two type rs?

I had a Yellowtop 47ah deep cycle and big 3 in at the time, perhaps its just the amp... upgrading to skar1500 next week

Make sure your wires are tight and the amp is mounted down this time.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Okey dokey, have any recommendations on how to mount the amp to the top of the box? Top of the box is really my only option because the speaker wires are so short and I can't remove the subwoofers from the box to swap out the speaker wire because the box is so big haha... Really should've built the box into my trunk, but it's too late now :/

Thanks in advance

well... you can always make your sub wires longer with butt connectors and more wire. Otherwise, I've used rubber bushings in between the amplifier's mounting feet and the box before the isolate the amp from vibration.
