It sounds like you're doing everything right. Keep in mind, if you adjust (boost) any settings on the HU after setting your gain, you should set your gain with those settings on.Yes sorry I meant Volts haha, Bass boost was at 0, and yup the two type r's were wired down to one ohm.
My amp is wired with 4 gauge Fierce Audio wiring that I stupidly bought from Best Buy awhile ago. All settings on the HU are default when I tune the amp, and yes I would like it if you emailed me that test tone, email is jack_plantin@live.com
Not necessarily, there isn't anything particularly wrong with that. I've got a "1200w" amp and I set it for a straight 1200w.The gain settings weren't all the way up though, they were at about 45%. I tuned it with a DMM but obviously I shouldn't be using 1400/1400 watts available from the amp.
Is what he said about your ground on a tail-light bolt true?
