Amp Fried? *PICS*

Power comes on. No protection light. No output. RCA's unresponsive.

Power wire came out of the distro. Hooked it back up and now theres no output. I Hooked up a different amp and it works fine.

UPDATE: SOMEONE SAID "Input Control Circuit needs repair" Do you all agree?

You sure nothing else happened? If the wire came out of the distro block, it simply opened the circuit. Nothing really can go bad with that situation alone.

When the zero gauge came out it was hot and I'm thinking it touched the amp casing?

This happened one day. I tucked away the wire and then hooked it up today and no out.... not sure what's going on

1. I tested another amp on the same fuses/wire/rca and it works

2. The amp comes on... if the fuse was blown it wouldn't im assuming

i meant the fuses that are in your amp if it has any

ya.. sorry thats very true.. guess slidind/pulling,may have pulled rcas from the board

I wiggled the rca's and checked the connections where it's soldered. seems very secure... anyway to check it with a DMM or something?

As was stated, check the main board connections. You may be able to fix it yourself if you just cracked a joint.

check that wire going fro the coil to the caps..that looks melted to me also in 2nd pics

if the wire was loose enough to slip out it had to have had a really poor connection, that would lead to extremely high impedance and cause the amp to struggle for power, I think it's real dead man same as pushing it hard on a super weak electrical it just burned up.

some amps now days just use the remote line to light the Led that the amp is on. Fuse can be bad and it still come on. See this a few times a year.

Wifes Amp died from the same thing. The screw holding the fuse down got loose and killed the outputs on the amp.
