amp fried? or am i dumb

my amp stoped working... it went into protection mode but every like 3 or 4 seconds it goes green for like half a second and the sub hits when its green... i only have the ground/power/and turn on wire hooked up... am i doing something wrong or is it time to buy a new amp:crying: ...thanks for your help

what amp do you have and what impedance is your sub wired to. my guess right now is that you have your sub wired to a lower impedance than your amp can handle.
