I'm looking for a nice budget amp for this sub: RWE-302 - MB Quart 12" 1000 Watt Reference Series Subwoofer

I'd like to keep it under $200, any suggestions?

Sorry, new to car audio but there's no danger in blowing the sub by giving it 1000w when it's rated for 500 RMS?

If you buy that sub in a D4 you can wire it to 2ohm. Then set your gains right and you wont have a problem.

Yeh, OP. D4 would be ideal but if you already have the sub you'll be fine also, just read up on properly setting gains. Just because you wire to 1 ohm and the amps is rated at 1000watts @1 ohm, doesn't mean you have to send 1000watts to the sub.

and just a side note, those 12s are really well built, they will take more than the 500 they are rated for in a proper box, i had mine on around 800 and it wasnt getting warm,
