amp for solo-barics

i'm looking into getting two 12" Kicker S12L5 solo-baric's or two 15" Kicker S15L5 solo-baric's. i'm wondering what kind of amp i should get....a JBL 1200.1 sounds good to me but i'm not very experienced...the Kicker KX1200.1 is way too much $$$$ for me. i can get the JBL 1200.1 for about $280. please comment...

Go for the JBL or a Hifonics BX15000D or the BX1000D. But I would get the Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 imo. It's around $350 and over 1400 rms at 4 ohms.

if i got the jbl 1200.1, should i get the solo-barics in dual 2ohm voice coils, or dual 4ohm voice coils?

dual 4 ohm so you could go to 1 ohm

need one if your gonna have a ported enclosure. as for the PG its actually rated 1200 watts at 4 ohms and 1400 at 2ohms but someone got a spec sheet for over 1520 watts or someting like that at 2 ohms so they are underrated.

Get The Jbl If You're Gonna Go Sealed..

I Wouldn't Recommend The Hifonics
