the guys from rangerpowersports.com sent me here... ive gone through a few subs and boxes in my ford ranger, and i just built a new box tuned at 30htz. But i want a new amp that will push my type r to the limit but not over it

the sub is a alpine type r 1242 (12in)

I had a type-r running off of a MRD-M1005 wired to 2 ohms and it was pretty loud. It ended up that it didn't have the sound I was looking for, so I swapped it out. I'm sure others will have more suggestions for you, but it's a start. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by not killing your wallet - that amp is around 300-350 new.

Lanzar OPTI1400D if you wanna play it safe......or you can step up to the 2000d if your responsible

800 x 1 for the 1400

1100 x 1 for the 2000

those won't break your wallet........you could even go hifonics if you wanted to go cheaper
