The amp is fine. If you want better for the money you can always check the classifieds. You're wiring to 1 Ohm i'm assuming.Looking for an amp for a FI Q 12. I like the $200 price point to f the Hifonics*BRX1600. 1D. Is this amp decent and anything else out there better for the money?
No...I should also add this is going in a 2010 v6 Explorer and I am planning on adding a cap but no additional electrical system upgrades. Think I'll be OK?
I had a mmats amp on my Q for about 4 years...Open for suggestions. I am a bit of a book here and could use the input. What would you recommend? I don't mind spending some cash, however I do want to keep it as cheap as possible. Does the amp make that much of a difference?
there's better batteries choices then optima batteries. look into deka, duracell agms, sears diehard platinum, kinetik. Optima batteries give shiet performance to price ratios. So the PDF BK1800.1d looks like the winner. Just want to make sure you guys think I will be OK on electrical with a big 3 and switching out to a red top Optima. I really don't want to fry my alternator.... Or should I be looking at an amp that costs a bit more?
do you happen to know what those PPI amps are rated at? in terms of voltage.your doing everything wrong with the electrical system there buddy. Your gonna need the big 3, and an agm battery dont even think about throwing money down the drain with a capacitor.
Also i'd swap that out for a precision power black ice 1800.1D.
