what's a decent amp for a dd 9515 dual 2 ohm. wire it to one ohm most likely. right now i'm runnin a jbl 1200. thinking on gettin 2 of these but seeing if there's one that will put out around 2000 watts at one ohm. which idea do youll htink is better? and if one amp, which amp would be best?

hifonics makes an amp that does 2400watts rms if you wanna run that much power. seriously though if you already have a single 1200.1 just run that why add the second amp?? i know DD makes killer subs read my setup i own 2 of them but still 2400 watts rms to even a 9515 will take it's wear and tear on it if the car is a daily driver. not to mention better have hella electrical upgrades. but i'd either stick with the 1200 you have now or get a 2nd one b/c that hifonics amp is great for the power it puts out and is true to what it says but costs a ton!

well i mean, id put the gains down so it wouldn't be that much. b/c now w/the one jbl on it, it's not that loud i mean my 2 solo's at 10/35 volume compare to the dd at 20/35 volume. but that is in a box that is maybe a cubic foot after displacement. where can i find that hifonics amp at?

lmao...I saw that one coming

that's what they told me to put it in...it's only that small b/c of space allowed. it could be bigger in the trunk but wouldn't be able to get it in/out b/c of trunk opening. but that's what they told me to put it in.

i seriously doubt they told you a 9515 can be put in a 3 cu ft box. i have emailed them many times about a single 9515 and they told me that i could use like a 12 cuft box for a single 9515 and it would be perfectly happy with that also they told me nothing smaller than 4.5cuft. anyway the only good MA amps are their 2 class X amps the 5011 DX my amp, and the 7011DX. very good solid amps in my opinion and put out what they say they do or at least mine does.

well i mean, you're probably right, to reach full potential for the sub put it in an enclosure that large. but b/c of my space allowed, i believe they told me make it that big. that's about as big as i can get it to be in my trunk. b/c my opening is soooo small. thx though for opinions on amps. i'll look into one perhaps

dont listen to bumpin blazer he is selling his ma audio amp cus it sucks. Get something with some power. how about a revo by adire audio and ampman. You can find it on http://www.ampman.com 369 shipped with a 25 dollar gift certificate. Also Has a subsonic filter and puts out 1600 watts rms into 1 ohm, and its underrated (i'm not sure how much, i should konw by tomorrow when i get mine). Since you are buying it from the maker it obvoiusly has a warranty as well. THeres really no reason to get any amp besides that one for the price and output. The only thing comparable is the JBL but it doesnt put out as much power or have a subsonic filter. Its not a cheap amp like the MA audio amp blazer talks so much great stuff about while wanting to sell it. the ma audio amp has nice features but not very powerful in my opinion, i had the same one and my MTX 81000d puts out hella more power than it did and sounds cleaner too. I'd recommend the mtx but its not supposed to run at 1 ohm (although i did it without any problems)

only has 120 amps worth of fusing. but, i'll tell you when i hook mine up. Its a class D though so should be about the same as any other 1500 watt class d. has a subwoofer control to put up front (remote gain control, but a little different than normal controls, goes i think -17db to like +.7 db from what the gain is set at on the amp. SO it gives you the control to turn it down mostly. Probably good though because that way its hard to blow your subs messing with the gain up front. it says the max current draw is 170 amps. Here is a link:

i thought it was 1600 rms but it says 1500.. oh well its probably actually 1600 and they underrated it.
