Amp for 2 12 kicker comps

I have two twelve inch 2003 kicker comps in a sealed box. Right now I'm powering them off a 125x2rms sony xplod amp. The comps are rated at 150 watts rms.

Do you think I should upgrade? Are profile and MA Audio amps any good? What type of amp should I get(around $125).

First off, what ohm rating are the subs? If I am not mistaken, the Kicker comps are SVC, correct? We need that info to make sure you get the correct amp. I dont think that sony amp is putting out what it says it does, so a new amp would definitely help imo. Post that info and I will check back and make some suggestions.

There SVC 4ohms. Also, when I have the music cranked it sounds distorted. Do you think thats cause of the Amp?

Not sure about the distortion. The following link shows your two options for wiring them.

A third option is a 2 channel amp, run them strait in at a 4 ohm load per channel. What I would do is get a Kicker ZX300.1 mono amp. The Kickers are slightly under-rated, and you would just use option #1 in that link. A refurb is cheaper, fits your budget, and a new one isnt much more. Here is a link:

Second option would be a Kicker ZX350.2, but it is a little more expensive.

Either should power those subs well, and either would be much better than the sony, profile, or MA amps.
