amp cutting off right when the bass hits hard

I have the front battery going to the back battery by 0 gauge wire then back battery to amp
How about the ground have you already checked to make sure both second battery and amp have a secure ground? If there's not a secure ground your back battery may not charge also check your fuses

The VFL4480.1 has always had these issues.

Look back to my old threads about it.

It doesnt matter if you run 1 ohm or .5 ohm the amp its self has issues on certain frequency's and will cut off and on giving the subs a nasty buzz sound.

The amp is being driven into hard clip.

Lower your gain a bit and you will hear it less.

Its different for many since box rise and if the song your listening to has stronger bass notes.

sounds terrible

I see the issue I used the multimeter and was getting 11 volts from the second battery to the amp just touched the amps power and ground and got 11 volts

And that's without the bass even hitting
11 volts while the engine is running?

You either have a lot of resistance somewhere or a break in the connection due to a bad ground spot or something else in the way of current delivery.

Or its either the battery not being able to accept and hold charges which means either deeply discharged (can be saved) or dead battery.

I'd put that battery on a trickle charger overnight or take it to autozone/oriellys and do a load test. Your gain could also be too high too.

You could also run a dedicated ground straight from the front battery if your car has a unibody issue.

After you do all of that If the problem persists, try wiring to 2 ohms, might be that you dont have enough box rise and the amp cant handle the .5 ohm load.

Normally I'd trash talk this amp but it actually sounds like you have real issues going on with your electricals that need to be taken care of.

yah I think it's the ground see I have a bolt where under the seats it holds the back wall in the truck I don't really know how to explain it and last time the bolt rusted and the wires were burnt this was with the cca 0 gauge wire and I changed the wire and it didn't do it again I don't have alot Of places for the ground I don't think I have enough to go from front battery to back for ground

Get a dedicated run to the chassis, not some seats bolt. Just drill a new hole.

ok thanks man yeah i tried that and its working fine now i let it charge over night and now running great but the amp is running so hot that it litteraly cuts off after like 10 mins of playing i guess that .5 ohms is killing it... i need to find a good amp that can run good at .5 ohm and not get hot now or either 2200 to 2500 watts at 2 ohms
