amp and sub install

Guys

I need a little advice

I have a 2008 maxima im doing a modest system in

Factory Bose speakers

Pioneer 4400 head unit

Single Diamond d6 12"

And Im looking at an amp

Jl 1400d to power it

What do ya think...will this amp run the sub properly?

And also...the box the sub is in *****

So Im looking to build another ported box for it

I dont wanna take up alotta trunk space tho

Any thoughts and input would be awesome!

If you're buying it new, there are a zillion other amps out there that are as good or better than JL for less money. Matter of fact, even if you're buying used there are still comparable amps that are likely to be less expensive new.

As for the box, there is a range of volumes from smallest to largest that your sub will perform well in. If the smallest is too large, don't build a ported enclosure because it'll sound worse than sealed.

I can get the amp used for $80

Sub box...I was thing about 1.6 cf at 35 htz

That's a good price for the amp.

As for dimensions, if those you gave are external, that's .95 cubes before any displacement and if they're internal, it's 1.38. Again, before displacements. So if that's all you can give up you'd be better off going sealed, imo.
