amp and sub in and out

when i turn my HD up my amp and sub play then for like a split second the amp and or sub goes out and comes right back in it almost like a skipping cd....would anyone know the problem ... could it be that i need a capacitator or do i need to turn the sub feature down on the head unit?

Set your gains right? Bass boost all the way down? Bass flat on the head unit?

i should turn the bass boost on the amp all the way down or on the head unit? and set the regular bass on the head unit to 0 or negative?

and for the other part. give some more details about the system. it kinda sounds like a quick short some where.

its 2, c12 competition kickers and a kenwood Kac- 7202 amp

ok. now how do you have these competition kickers wired to the amp?

i have them bridged because this amp has a mom setting and a stereo setting(which is 2 channel mode) i get more power and more bass out of the mono setting
