Amp & Sub suggestions for new Ford F-250 4 door

I'm looking for suggestions on which 10" sub and amp I should get for my truck? I'm looking to have a 10" sub and amp installed on my truck next week to go with my Helix Espirit 5x7's and factory nav unit.. I mainly listen to rock and country, but aside from clarity, I would like to add some good crisp bass as well. I may even go with 2 10" subs. what do Yall suggest? I'm new to all of this and would like to make the right choice the first time.

Also, any suggestions on which shop in Houston to use? Thanks

Most of us do it ourselves, can save a butt load. Look at ssa gcons. Or if they still have them, audiopulse on parts express.

I hear Ya.. I would much rather pay someone to do my install rather than pay a shop, but being that I'm green when it comes to audio systems, I'll probably have to settle for a shop lol.. I'll look into those subs you mentioned. I appreciate your response

I went with 2-Sd8s in a ported box behind my seat. But you could also do 2- of the new sundown SD-3 10" subs in a sealed box behind the seat. You can order a pre fab box online that has the correct air space for those 10" sundows.

Read a lot of good review on the Arc audio Xdi amps. I picked up the xdi 600.4 for my build. The amp is super small, makes the install a lot cleaner with a tiny amp. Haven't heard it yet, but all the reviews online are pretty good

These are the new sd-3 10". (They haven't released the sd-3 in the 8" model yet. But I talked to sundown and they say that the 8" had very little changes. The 10s and 12s had the most upgrades)

This amp would work perfect for a pair of the 8s or the 10s

Sub boxes....the max depth is 5" on that box, and those sundowns are 4.75". So they would fit perfect in a box behind the seat

Out of all the research I did, that's what I came up with. Haven't heard my system yet, so I can't say whether or not my research paid off lol

Thank you Schnitzel.. I appreciate your post and messages. I'll definitely look into all of that. The last time I messed with car audio was back in the 90's when it was either fosgate or kicker lol.. I see there are a ton of newer companies putting out quality components.. I have a lot to learn for sure. Thank you brother

I got some Pics of that while being built. came out great. I see you didn't move your seat forward. My seat has new brackets that move it forward 2" which gives me 4.5 cuft. I'll be running 4 12" CDT QEX-1220 on 2000 watt ARC. should sound good. Same box builder, why change a good thing right. 2012 F-350 CC Dually Lariat Ultimate

looks pretty sick! I've got a stereo integrity bm mk iv 12" in a sealed box made by spl2k behind the seat of my 2011 f250 and i think it sounds pretty good. wish it was a little bit louder though.
