American Made Car Audio

Does anyone have a list of car audio manufactures that are american made/owned?

I'm having a problem with my father's install because he a hard core pro-union, pro-usa person. We decided on JL audio for all his co-axials. But now we need to replace his headunit and I honestly don't know of any american made/owned companies that make headunits.

If anyone knows...let me know please

JL???

The XR Series is made in Germany, The TR's are made in China or Taiwan.

All JL amps are Korean.

Please don't tell your dad...

Hmm...see my w3's were made in america

I know JBL is made in california

Finding the speakers isn't hard at all...but finding a headunit is next to impossible.

BTW...when I got my JL's 3 or so years ago when I was still living at home...he had seen the box they came in and took note that they were american made so when it came time to get coaxials he requested JL...i wasnt gonna stop him

Does RF make headunits still? Any HU you get will likely be made overseas, but at least that would be an "american" brand name...

Rockford headunits were originally made by DELCO, which also made most of the gm factory headunits. Right, w3's were made in Kevil, KY by Credence Speakers. Not too far from here.

Well, Rockford Fosgate is about the only company making head units in the US that I'm aware of, but it would be a mistake to buy one (believe me, I know). They're junk.
