How the hell did this thread go from humanity losing its sense of compassion to a racial thread? Leave it to Morningwood I guess. P.S. I voted for Obama...and not because he was black but because of his ideals and what I think he will do to this country. John McCain was too close to Bush for my liking and I really couldn't stand to see this country driven into the ground any further than it already has been. By the way, even though I think Obama will be good for the country, I doubt he will be able to pull us out of this financial shit hole. He will try and help, but he is not the cure. Leave that to the next pres.

And the point is? I know there was already a thread a while back that whoever is white is automatically racist. It's something that happens by default. Big whoop. The election did not and will not cure racism. If anything it is merely a band-aid. Go down south and you will find plenty of people who probably still think the south should be like it was pre-Civil War. I on the other hand think the opposite. Take the term ******. It is an ugly term usually used exclusively for blacks, but in my opinion anyone can be a ******. White, black, asian, latino. It is a term based on the person's character, not their skin color.
