American Built Subwoofers

Sundown Nightshade woofers are assembled in the USA and use quite a few USA made parts (coil, cones, spiders, glues).

---

I think MMATs may be one of the last to make both amps and subs in the USA.

A few good companies still assemble and get as many US parts as possible.
I heard that and it's why I started the thread. I know mmats assembles everything in the US but they are not easy to get. I barely see them sold online and that is where I will be buying things.

I just was having a problem finding out the various companies that still build their products here and thats what I want to know. Hope more people can help as I want to buy made in the USA products and I am looing for 2 subs and an amp.

subs are

Ed, thatnks for taking the time to help me. Now, I called Rockford a few days ago and was told outright that most of their products including subs are no longer manufactured in the us. Are you sure kicker and Mtx make their stuff here. I had an L7 and I am pretty sure it was made in China. Now you helped me because the treo, jl, mmats and other on that list are made here.

Rockford moved to China, Most of kicker's stuff is China...nothing wrong with it, but it is what it is...
Seriously?

man that sucks, a few years ago a toured the Rockford and MTX plants, then a year later I was at Kicker. this was 2003 and 2004 and production was taking place there. I know a few people at kicker maybe I will call and confirm but I believe the Solo Xs are made here.

Ed, I am afraid he is right and it does ****. I personally spoke to a Rockford Fosgate rep and he told me things are no longer manufactured here. It does ****.

Man oh man, I am seriously heartbroken.

TOPAZ, NOMAD, STARDUST, DSM, were all pioneered here in the states. One of my business partners brother invented the autonomous machines that surface mount circuit boards. The very machines that Rockford used as the first Amplifier manufacturer to go automated. And this was all done in Arizona.

Well at least I know my T3s are made right down in Gainesville Georgia.

Ed, is T3 audio in general as good as JL audio, Rockford and Re audio? I see that T3 makes subs as well as coaxial and component speakers.

Well their subs are among the best out there. Not only multiple SPL records and championships, but last year a SQ championship. I love my subs very much.

The coax and components are not made in the US. They are decent but there is better out there.
