I have an xd 2000 and was wondering if its .5 ohm stable. Also, does anyone know if its underrated or not? I emailed them and never got a reply. Thanks.

the website says its only 1 ohm stable. so i would guess no.. on the .5 question.

and there is no way theyre going to tell you if they under rater or over rate their amps. that would be stupid. because then if everyone found out they where over rated no one would buy them.

from past experiences at worst its a little over rated. usually right on or a little underrated at least thats what the older amps were like. dont hessitate to call them either im sure they would be glad to help you out.

Im wondering if I can run it at .5 for burps. Thats what I really want to know. Whats the worst case scenario if I do?

you should be able to do it. i used to run a pair of CX1200D's strapped at 1 ohm(only rated for 2 ohms strapped). they did just fine for burps, wouldnt do music, but pure sines were good.

American Bass is known for cheater amps...Its got a protection circuit, Ive never had a amp go out on us because we dropped it too low..There's really only one way to find out, and if you cant get a burp out of it, try rolling the volume to get the coils heated up..
