American Bass VFL 500.1 thoughts

I am looking to sell all 6 of my sundown 1500s and get 3 American bass VFL 500.1s. I have read good reviews on these amps, but just want to get anyones opinion on them and if it will be a good switch.

american bass amps are awesome. dont know how much it would be worth it but i loved the ab amp i had a couple years back.

All things being equal assuming you'll get max power out of any of them, the difference between 9KW and 15KW will be give or take 1db (very very probably less real-world). The AB are proven performers, but ALL these big Korean amps are prone to failure (while the ones

yea i figured that they did. My sundowns put out good power 2 tho....3 of the AB amps would be more wattage but just curious if it would be a noticeable difference. They would be clamped wired at 1 ohm and my 1500s are wired at .5 ohm. I have heard that the AB amp really loves a 16v baterry setup (which i do have)

yea i love my sundown amps.....i was also looking at maybe getting 3 new NS1s or a few used SAZ 4500s. Just the sundown are more pricey thn the AB....thats a big factor u kno?

Very good amps but all things being equal you won't notice a huge difference

ive owned just about most of the mono amps on the market and my favorite is the american bass 500.1 not that its better than sundown but the sound was deep with no bass boost. the 500.1 is a pure beast reliable beast same board as the rd audio d9 just a different configuration
