sweet. the paremeters i seen on ther hd had a huge mms. also the site said 30mm xmax.. hard to believe but with the high mms though it might be close.. pitiful...thanks for the enlightment...

Wow, 30mm Xmax ?? The over hang on the voice coil is only 10mm.. So, at 30mm one way, the voice coil is in the magnetic gap by 5mm at the top of the stroke. Real Xmax on this subwoofer is 10mm with the coil in the gap for full BL and maybe 20mm (depending on the suspension travel)..

If I remember correctly, the AudioQue had a lot stiffer suspension than the American Bass. That would give the AudioQue a lower MMS but, I don't remember for sure. I did not run a T/S parameter on the two subwoofers. (Also most subwoofer companies give you the T/S parameters of a brand new subwoofer. As soon as the subwoofer is broken in, the specs will change due to the suspension compliance changing as the spiders are broken in)..
