Well they are 1500rms so it will handle 1600 just fine. It is very similar to the AQ HDC3, so yes, it will get plenty loud.

now i just gotta do something with my l7 15 that ive been running at 800rms at 4 ohm on the zx 1500.1 cuz money is short and ima be losing my job soon cuz the restaurant is shutting down lol

Right.. They only have the same motor, basket, cone and same build house.. Different spiders and a smaller voice coil compared to the AudioQue HDC3 makes for a different subwoofer. The AudioQue has a 4 Layer parallel wound copper wire on a black aluminum former voice coil that is 55mm winding thickness. The American Bass is the the same with a 45mm winding thickness.

The AudioQue will take more power and have a higher Xmax but the American Bass has a lower inductance, less Xmax, and a lower MMS due to the lighter voice coil which is better for SPL. On a 10 second burp, they both should handle real close to the same power.

By doing a re-cone on each of the subwoofers and then taking a caliber to mesaur all on the parts. I have re-coned lots of subs over the years and done a lot of other stuff also with subwoofers, but, I am not going to get into all of that here....

sweet. the paremeters i seen on ther hd had a huge mms. also the site said 30mm xmax.. hard to believe but with the high mms though it might be close.. pitiful...
