Im running a set of these now, off around 125w at 4ohm from a MTX 502 amp. Comps sound good for the money, good midbass even in my undeaden doors. Tweeters are ok, not the best, but not the worst either. Detail is ok, again, not the best but ok. Overall, decent and about what they are worth.

And for anyone running stock speakers and considering these, yes its worth it, a big difference between then and your stocks. I had really good stocks from the factory, and theses sound so much better.

any idea how long will this sale last?

I kind of dont want to buy right now, but in other ways I want to buy them now so I wont miss the sale price lol..

But now I am not sure if I should get 2 sets? it is kinda ridiculous to have comps in the rear? I could just get away with 5x7 or 6x8 speakers?

125 watts a piece? seriously?

they are rated at 50watts a piece

if i can run them at 125 watts then that d be awesome cuz my 650.4 does 125 watts per channel

should I buy this set for my explorer?
how are those components in general? I plan on running passive..

I am afraid that they are just no difference or maybe just a small step up from my stock audiophile speakers?

i got kicker 650.4, which obviously is way too powerful, but i can set the gains accordingly to the speakers' power handling..

should I pick those up? I might just grab 2 sets so I can put one in the front and another one in the back

I had them running off a PG tantrum 500.2 which I think is 125x2. Never had any problems and they sounded great for a set of budget comps. They are better than any stock ford system I've ever heard.

nevermind what i said if you look in product details it says they are product number RSD6CS which is the 6.5"

fwiw, rsd6cs is the 6" iirc

I already have confirmed the 6cs is the 6" and the 5cs is the 5.25" set.

tahts exactly the reason why im unsure..

i d prefer save 40 bucks and invest into a better comps in the future if this one is going to be a small step up from my stockers..

the reason i m saying this is because I have the audiophile speakers which are actually pretty decent for stockers.. so I m afraid that I will be wasting money and time by buying those comps
