AM not working

Does anyone know why my newly installed Alpine HU's A.M. will not work but the FM and XM are fine??

What do you mean, won't work? Are you receiving any stations with it, or just getting interference?

dallas area am stations are really really weak i cant really get them either as far as signal goes.

Not getting any stations at all, I live in the Dallas area and there are over a 100 strong ones. It sounds just like FM with the antenna unplugged, straight static.

And completely irrevalent to the original poster's issue...

I bet it's a problem with the deck, some sort of muting turned on or something.
