am i getting ripped off?

ok as some of you may know i plan on getting to 12 kicker l7's

the shop my insurance company goes thorough told me not to get the 1200.1

and get 2 600.1's? what would be the difference he told me they would get more power with the 600.1's because off the seprate power supplies?? what should i do?

I disagree... i would go with the 1200.1 .. It will pt less strain on your battery and 2 600.1's .. the amp price will cost less and will save you on more wiring and distro. blocks.. Also will put out at least the same and probabily a bit more power..

if you L7 is dual 4 ohm, 2-600.1 is fine...

if you L7 is dual 2 ohm, you need 1200.1

why would it matter if its a dual 4 or 2ohm sub??? both amps are stable to 1ohm.....so go w/ 2 1200.1's....peace

i think there just trying to get more money for labor,wires,ect. 2 600.1 puts out the same power as 1 1200.1 both are 1200 rms at 1ohm

ok i mis understood...thought he was saying he could get one 1200.1 and 2 600.1s......i'd go w/ the 2 600.1's due to the fact that they only draw 54ampers max....thats 6 ampers less than the 1200.1.....

.......... tooo much........ just get one do u ahve 12' or 15' l7s? if u have the twelves the 1200 will be fine for 2 1300+......... most of the time yor gonna be getting 650 watt+ per sub just 100 short of the rms if u have the kicker l7 15's............. 1 1200 is still a better choice the gain on the jbl is preaty garbage and im sure u dont wanna blow out your subs and trust me 1300 watts is pleanty

ya im not sure why i have to go through this local shop but CCS said so im not sure if i can get a check? well heres what im thinking the setup that was stolen was to 12 powerhx2s and 2 1100 mono amps i would like to get a setup that will be close as possable to bass as im use to,

i can get 2 600.1, or 1200.1 or just one????

im not sure about all this i think most stereo stores are shady and just want money but insurance is paying so i need to pick? i take it that you guys say just get the 1200.1 right?

do you really have to get kicker amp??? if you're not paying for it, mind as well get zapco or phoenix gold or orion or even fosgate...

but if you definately want kicker,(if you have dual 4ohms) i would go for 2-600.1... because you run each amp at 2 ohms for 600w.... unlike 1200.1 you're gonna have to wire them down to 1 ohm and the amp would get hot faster.... plus have 2 amps looks better!!! and more money for them!!

600.1 is perfect for those subs...1200.1 is too much for just one sub... you can get two1200.1 .. give me the other one

ok so scratch the 2 1200.1 and get 2 600.1

will there really be an audible differance in them if i go with 2 600.1 compared to one 1200.1? i know its kinda better because to seprate power supplies,

o ya and the reason im going with all kicker is because the shops best brands are concept and kicker and i cant afford concept so i gotta go with kicker. thanks again for everyone who been getting back to me about this!! really helpful

well if u have the option....go w/ 2 1200.1's one for each l7's....the l7's are power hungry beasts......1200/sub would really make them pound......if u go w/ 2 tho you'll probably need and upgraded alt tho.....send me a pm if u get a chance i'll try to help u out a little more one on one.......and when u say all kicker are we talking about kicker or jbl on the amps???? im confused now
