alternator

I'm in need of a new alternator and am gonna probably go with singer after some reading. I've heard nothing but good things but what I'm truly interested in is hearing from some people that own one and run it on their daily driver. I want something which puts out it's rating which (I believe is established with singer) and are dependable and reliable for daily driver.

I've ran a Singer 270 hairpin. Awesome alt. Mike is a stud and great to work with - I have nothing negative to say about Singer.

That said, I have changed to USAlternators and have gotten better performance for a tad bit less money. They are running a promo right now actually. Plus, they do rated power.

Singer is definitely the common brand around these parts (CA.COM)

This USAlternator doesn't seem too bad, and they back their products. Looks like a beefed up rectifier (which is generally a problem a lot of HO Alternator have that I've seen from less reputable brands).

We sell ALTs here at American Power Systems. But they will likely be a bit more expensive. We offer a 12 month on audio applications. Catalog and Price High Output Alternator. The web page is super crude, the story I got was our web designer quit on us half way through, and we just aren't big enough in the audio world to hire someone else. High Quality products built to last none the less.

I've also seen Mechman thrown around.
