is their a way that i can check my alternator to see if it works?

to find out how much its puttin out???

i know i can take it t AutoZone... but 2 days ago they said it was fine.. and today, they say its bad...

when i test the power wire to the alt... i get a 11.5 engine off and 14.3 w/ it on...

Sounds good to me. Also with your headlights on at night you can rev the engine a little. If the lights brighten chances are you alternator is good..

yea if u can get hold of a volt tester then do that. i checked mine tonight and it looks like i need a need alt. with the engine revved and nothing on it was at 11.5 and with everything on it was even lower. looks like a new alt which is what i wanted anyway.
