Alternator?????

i am planning to run 4 optima batteries in the back, 1 starter battery, i need an alternator than can keep them all charged.. What do you guys think? Also what isolator would be good .

stinger makes a good alternator as well. as for the isolator, if you kill you batteries completely, you dont have enough power for the solenoid to click over, leaving you stranded without a decent battery. i would suggest a manual switch. perko switches work great, mainly used in marine applications, extremely reliable. on the swtich, you have battery 1, battery 2, both, and off. run all your aux batts to the 2, main to the 1. when you want to rock out parked with the motor off, switch it to 2, and leave it, that way you always have 1 in reserve. when you take off, switch it to both, and all of them charge.
