ok, to install my ho alt, all i need to do is do batt+ to alt + and batt - to alt case right? and fuse the batt+ to alt+
Ok, there should be two wires ran maximum...my mechman instructions say to do a -alt to -batt. so would that be -batt to the alt case?
Great way to have a rolling fire hazard! Why don't you install a mobile meth lab while you are at it:laugh:idk bout you but i only did 1 wire....batt + to alt+ alternator is bolted to engine block and there is ground from engine block to battery on my car...so and ran no fuse as i know where my wire is and its secured away from moving parts and sources of extreme heat.
Didn't you also use the wire harness part of the alt?idk bout you but i only did 1 wire....batt + to alt+ alternator is bolted to engine block and there is ground from engine block to battery on my car...so and ran no fuse as i know where my wire is and its secured away from moving parts and sources of extreme heat.
kk. +batt to +alt and -batt to alt case. thanks for the help bro!Ok, there should be two wires ran maximum...
1 wire from the +alt to the +batt----FUSE THIS
1 wire from a spot on the alt to ground it to the -batt
no there was no need to on my car...1 wire only.Didn't you also use the wire harness part of the alt?
a wire always can get broken (example: acident) and if anywhere in the + wire gets contact to ground it gonna burn al the lengt to the battno there was no need to on my car...1 wire only.
and as for the rolling fire hazard comment..i've never had a wire burn....or even become hot....so why would it be a fire hazard...please do explain that one.
