yeah I was going to use 4 gauge on mine was talked into 0 gauge, I'm glad I did because now I know I will be set if I go with bigger alt. My stock is about 150 amps.
i feel like an ass but im using 3 8 gauges... if i can find a ring terminal that will actually fit on the alternator i have (it has a small section for it) ill slap bigger wire on.
