So I have had my system installed for a couple months, but ive only been running 2 speakers in the back. I have had the alternator whine but it didn't really bother me that much. I just installed a crescendo 1000c4 and massive audio rk6 speakers up front.

Now, the whine in the front is horrible. I swapped out my rcas and its slightly better now. The strange thing is now it goes away while im driving, until i take my foot off the gas, or idle. It seems to only happen under 2k rpm. This is really weird, I don't know what it could be.

If any one has any ideas that would be awesome.

What deck?

Whine usually comes from bad grounding. so double check eveny grounding point. All grounds need to be grounded to the frame, bare metal. 3 - 1 foot max ground wire lenght. Check rca connections. make sure they are good.

un your rca wires and power wires on either side of the car, at least 18 in apart. and dont let them cross

shorten your ground wires as much as possible, and of course make sure its a good connection.

they sell a filter you plug in to your amp, only if all else fails.

I think that it might be my head unit ground. I have an alpine cda 105. When i was redoing the ground on it, i noticed that it still turned on/off, and worked fine with the ground wire cut. Is it possible its using something else to ground?
