Everything worked fine until I connected a second amp and some subs. I had a loud thumping noise from inside speakers so I immediately disconnected everything and reverted it back to previous setup. The setup before worked fine but now it gets alternator whine and some static when the car running.
The whine only happens in my door speakers meanwhile all the other speakers work fine.
I hooked up some RCA cables to the amp, but they weren't connected to any head units, and the whine went away. The RCA cables run down the middle of the car to the trunk, and the power wires run down passenger side to the trunk battery which is also on passenger side.
The amp's gnd goes to negative terminal on the battery.
Also, before this happened I had pulled my door panels off to replace the clips but nothing on the speakers were disconnected.
Help?
