Alternator Really not an HO?

Even a 500 amp alty is not going to charge, if its not hooked up right. I have watched this thred for a while. Ive been trying to hold back, but after seeing what you posted in another thread, I figured it was time to respond. You failed to mention in this thread that you had a BAD battery. Thats what you told me on the phone anyways. Besides, why havent you sent back the second alty yet? I got your first one back, and the only thing I found was a shinny pulley from belt slipage. So, bad connects, a black hole for a battery and belt slipage = one thing. The WRONG tool behind the wrench! After reading the first page of this thread, I knew what the problem was. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

It's amazing how sarcastic your being in your post Ron, you try to make it seem like I am some scrub that doesn't know how to hook up my alt. I even had three of THIS forums members come over and inspect my install, all agreed that YOUR ALT WAS THE PROBLEM.

Funny too, I never said not one bad comment about DBELECTRICAL, only that something was not right with the alt. Then you come and post this crap? I would never recommend your company to ANYONE ELSE.

You come and comment on my thread trying to make it seem like I am a liar? WTF? The first alt dropped the voltage SOOO LOW in my car, that it ruined my battery. I had to pay $80 + dollars to have my **** car towed. That's what I TOLD YOU. I hooked the second alt up, and the voltage still drops ridiculously low. I have the stock alt in and it doesn't even drop below 12.8v. My belt slipping was a poor excuse that you gave me. I even went out and bought a second belt that was a ***** to put on, and the voltage still dopped terribly low. I thought that the connections not being tightened down was the problem, but when I hooked YOUR alt back up, my voltage still droppped like crazy. A sarcastic *** prick behind the work is something awful itself. It's amazing that in your comment you mentioned nothing about having to refund another Monte Carlo owner due to him basically complaining about the same thing. I will be shipping back the second alt today. I have not been wanting to send it back, as I wanted to be sure that the problem was on my end. Now that you just made the above comment, you can rest easy knowing that it's definitely coming back to you.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
First I would like to thank you for calling my boss and trying to get me fired, you are really funny. We all stood around reading this thread laughing! I didnt even TRY to make you out as a liar and cant help you took it that way.

Second, the ONLY way an alternator can harm a battery is by OVERCHARGING it with excessive voltage, not undercharging. If the alt is under charging you just have a dead or discharged battery. If you would have told me over the phone, that the alt ruined the battery by undercharging. I would have laughed at you and NOT sent you a second unit. Overcharging was not your problem, so.......

Third, in post #19 of YOUR thread, you mention installing alt #2 of mine, with the same result. Then in post #47 YOU installed the stock alt. Then in post #48 YOU said,"Car shut off about three times on my way home from work. I will be re-checking my connections ASAP" this after YOU installed your stock unit. Finally in post #49 YOU said, "The **** power wire from my accessory box to my battery was corroded. I replaced it and also made another ground. I see no problems yet. I will be re-installing my alt from DBELECTRICAL this weekend to make sure that the problem was in the connections on my end."

But in this very post, you say, "I thought that the connections not being tightened down was the problem, but when I hooked your alt back up, my voltage still droppped like crazy."

So which is it, Did YOU find the bad connections after YOU re-installed YOUR stock unit, like YOU stated in post #49 or when you installed the replacement unit I sent as stated by YOU above.

Sorry if the belt slipping was a sorry excuse, but it was the only thing that had NOT been done, little did I know your connections were bad. I assumed (my fault) it was obvious, that you would need a shorter belt to compensate for the overdrive pulley being smaller. I also figured since you were running 1/0 , you would have made sure the connections were tight. I guess, I WAS WRONG!

Yes I had to refund another Monte Carlo unit, for the same reason. You being a 1000 miles away makes it hard to pull your car into my shop and find the problem myself.

You got one thing right, I am a sarcastic prick! But you dont expect me to believe you were going to keep a $250 dollar alty that dosent work? Especially after 3 members inspected YOUR install and agreed it was the alt. Let me ask you this, did you take the alt ANYWHERE to be load tested or did you just stand there and look at it? You started in the first post talking bad by insinuating we sold you something that wasnt 200 amps.THAT, is why I had to come and post this CRAP! Yeah 100% feedback with over 20,000+ transactions, you dont get that by being dishonest or selling BS ho alts like you say. I never called you a scrub or a liar, them are your words bro. Soon as I recieve the alt back you will be 100% refunded. Dont worry, I wont ever post in any of your threads again. I wont even see them. I love the ignore list. Now, I am done! THAT IS ALL:D!

Amazing how the story changes after I call. I wasn't trying to get you fired, as I told him that your comments in the previous post were not appreciated. You could have easily said something about "You should have done it this way." Also, if money was the issue, I would have been complaining to be re-imbursed after having to have my car towed.

Connections were tightened before I put the stock alt back on. Wire was replaced before I put the stock alt back on. I THEN put YOUR alternator back on, took a drive, and the voltage still drops. I indicated in this thread to the best of my ability each and every step that I took. I could care less that you put me on your ignore list, what do I need from you? Not a **** thing. I can easily go to another company and get my alt. Not even interested in a HO alt anymore, as many of them only produce around 100amps while idle. Who the heck wants to sit at a light and constantly rev their engine? I am done with this also, as I am just awaiting my refund.

Obviously you didn't read this thread very well. I hooked up the stock alt, had prioblems. Took it out, and re-fixed the wires, no problems. Took the stock alt back out and put in yours and the voltage kept dropping like crazy. I then replaced my stock alt once again.

man i got be honest here reading that post by the guy fro DB made me sick. That is the worst cust serv i have ever heard and horrendous for his buisness to talk like that to potential customers. I have 3 cars right now that need HO alts and DB will no longer be on my list of places to choose from.

He was the only one to be a jerk, talk to Mike @ DBELECTRICAL, and he will take care of you. Ron is just a Tech, I could really care less about what he says.
