Alternator question

check out excessive amperage, nathan treated me very well and the alt performs amazing. not to mention he was a good bit cheaper than everyone else i got quoted.
can you have them build the alt to perform at a certain voltage or is that only if you get the regulator

Go with DC Power Engineering. I got a 320 amp alternator from them for $500 for my car. They are able to make alternators that will do 200 amps at idle and they will also run at 15.1 volts since their alternators actually bypass the cars ecm. They can make an alternator for just about any vehicle so they could get you covered.

Most votage no days is regulated by your cars computer so alt swaps typically will not change your voltage.
no... most alts today have an internal regulator that regulates the voltage... your car's ecu has nothing to do with it...

the reason most use external regulators, is because of their adjustability on the fly...

kangaroux... you can ask them if they will build one with a different internal regulator in it, for higher voltage... but they wont make one like that a production model, as most people will only use one HO alt for their setup, and an alt that pushes like 16v is completely useless in that situation
