Alternator question

why dont you call some places up? see if you have a local dealer. I was surprised to call up ohio gen, to find out that there is a dealer here that sells em... a shop where I know a few people //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. Gotta run out there tomorrow.

well i got my quote today $650 for a 170 amp alternator. I hope its made of gold because that is expeniseve for a alternator. Its not even a 200 amp one. I might go with someone after this lol.

That is a crazy price!

You can find them all day long with warranty on eBay for ~ $125 to $300 or so depending on how much current (amps) you need!

It's hard to belive no local shop can hook you up!

I thought a place here called Tucson ALternator Exchange would help me out but they dont do anything expect relace stock ones and they didnt know what my car was. Then I went to car quest and the same thing. I cant win lol.

Yep...that would be a pisser! Kind of like my car...when you say Corvette it is automatically more $$$$...at least now it's getting older and some parts are getting cheaper! Finally!!
