Alternator question

Hey guys I have a question for you. Well I drive a 2004 suzuki Forenza and I couldnt find an alternator anywhere. Also before I start I tried to search for it but it gave so many results that were unreleated. anyway I hear so many bad things about EA and Irggi. I am sure they are fine and they put good work into it but still. Anyway today I found out that HO alternators makes one for my car. He even knew something about the car that only serious people who own it do. The fact that chevy made an excent model of it called an optra but never released it in the states so I know he knows about my car. ANyway how are these alternators, i know they are pricy even though he didnt send me the quote yet. I am talking just about quality and reliablity. Also, a guy a carquest told me that to big of a nalternator will begin to blow fuses. I dont think its true but just wanna make sure. Also my father tells me all the time, I dont wanan change factory stuff blah blah. So whats the chance that it wont start one morning and I have to hear his wrath for 3 weeks about it. Assuming install is done correctly.

Sorry about that. I did read it and it is very useful and and it just confirmed what I thought. I know the guy recommends HOalternators.com but I was just seeing what other people had to say about them.

I've had EA - it's decent, its just that it didn't charge my car at idle. My car idled low (600-650 from dash reading) and the EA cut on at around 800rpm

Otherwise it was a great alt

I was thinking of going with EA before all of the problems came up but he doesnt have one for my car. HOALternators.com is gonna send me a quote some time. How does that comapny stack up against EA with your experiences?

HOalternators.com's alts are nice but come with a hefty price tag. I just got my quote today for a 2004 silverado 220 amp, 599.99. Ill probably going with http://www.mean-green.com

How reliable are meangreens? I jsut wanna get one that I know is from a reliable company and will take care of you if there is anyproblems which there shouldnt be but stuff happens. Does anyhave any experience with tmeangreens.

NGSM had a hella nice experience with mean green. 3 year warranty - the alt went out and they gave him a completely new one

Keep the stock one and if the alt does go out, throw the stock in and bump in moderation while the new one is being fixed (under warranty, no less)
